Projects: Museum & Visitor Centers | The Reynolds of Hamburg Cove, Connecticut River Museum, Essex, CT
An interactive and artifact laden exhibit of a family run dealership whose roots in customer service was established in 1859. It is an exhibit highlighting six generations of one family and how they have adapted to the ever changing needs of the region who first bought buggy whips and horse drawn carriages from the Reynold's. Their businesses over time included a blacksmith shop and a general store that sold everything from grain to kerosene to now selling and storing boats. The sixth generation business was recently named the number one Subaru dealer in the country in customer service. This exhibit traces the amazing history of commerce on the river.
